The picture on the left is what inspired me to change, and here I am almost a year later only 10 LBS away from my goal weight!! Some days are still hard, so this comparison really put things into perspective for me

I did intermittent fasting and only ate between the hours of 1PM-7PM and mostly focused on macros as opposed to calories. I also did weight lifting and cardio about 4-5x a week, and then daily yoga!

lost just over 80 in total now

lost just over 80 in total now

Aug 31, 2020

F/20/5'5” [204 - 168 = 36] lost just over 80 in total now. Paper-Towel-Effect is really great, I’m noticing every 5lbs now! This suit was too small.. Now it fits.. Can’t wait for it to be too big hahah

I’m eating about 1200 cal a day, trying to eat “healthy” and just avoid really processed foods (boxed dinners, cheap cheese, candy) and cut out casual drinking. And I don’t really drink anything with calories in it anymore! That was huge.

I also am constantly falling in love with new exercises, so I do weight training once a week (covid permitting) and do 20-30 minutes of at-home cardio a day, along with yoga if I remember. My newest thing is running! 24km a week, running or jogging.

The diet part was my focus first and foremost

The diet part was my focus first and foremost

Aug 31, 2020

F/28/5'5” [292 lbs>203 lbs=89 lbs] (8 months). From my first accountability pic on January 2020 till today. Same shirt, different body!

I have PCOS, so the diet part was my focus first and foremost. Before I can even work out, I needed to lower my blood sugar levels so that it wasn’t haywire anymore. This took about ~2 months. I do have my slow weeks, mostly when I get cravings. I do give in to my cravings and do a “cheat” meal but I always make sure to bring it back the next meal and I always do a 24 hr fast after the cheat (sort of like my punishment….) .

Diet:

  1. Intermittent fasting where I flip 24 hours and 18:6 interchangeably.
  2. Strict Keto consisting of 3-6 oz of meat, an avocado half, and vegetable (spinach, kale, cauliflower or broccoli mostly) per meal. I drink bone broth during my 24 hour fast days along with eggs with cheese.
  3. I drink one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar diluted with 1 cup of water after every meal.
  4. I don’t have a specific calorie intake number, just whenever I feel satiated. Since I record everything I eat, it appears that I tend to stop around 1500 cal.

I didn’t start this all in one go of course. I started with the apple cider vinegar and writing down what I eat. Next, I started keto with a strict meal prep schedule for 3 months. After I was fat adapted, I stopped the meal prep and added IF. Now…I just eat whenever I feel weak. Honestly, I only really eat to satiate, so IF and the limited calories is easier now than when I first started.

Fitness Goals: Incredible Body Transformation

Aug 30, 2020

A YOUNG woman has gone from being too afraid to wear a bikini at the beach to entering bodybuilding competitions in teeny tiny two pieces. When doctors told Sally Lee she was clinically obese, it was the support of her long-term partner that helped her lose 68lbs in 16 months.

The 25-year-old, from the Gold Coast, Australia, had been unhappy with her body for some time and was encouraged by her fiancé Jeremy to get into fitness – not because he was unhappy with the way she looked but because it was making her so depressed. Once she had lost the weight, Sally needed another target to keep her focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle so she entered herself into a bikini competition. After competing at a transformation bikini competition, for women who have undergone significant weight loss, Sally entered the Australian Women’s Natural Body Sculpting show where she placed in a number of categories including first for Fitness Intermediate, second in Bikini Novice and Bikini Intermediate and third in Fitness under-30.

Jessica Simpson in October 2018 and September 2019

Aug 30, 2020

After giving birth to her third child in March 2019, Jessica Simpson lost 100 pounds by incorporating healthy, sustainable habits into her lifestyle rather than doing anything too drastic.

This meant walking 14,000 steps a day, focusing on eating lean proteins and vegetables, and prioritizing sleep, her long-time trainer Harley Pasternak told E! News.

“It had to be more than just getting back from her baby weight, but how do I keep whatever I am doing now forever,” Pasternak said. “That’s why we are not a big fan of doing any extreme diet or radical forms of exercise.”

Cooled down on the lifting since March but this was my best physique

Aug 29, 2020

F/31/5’1” [270lbs > 120lbs= 150lbs] I’ve cooled down on the lifting since March but this was my best physique yet & I’m not so obsessed with being skinny anymore.

I had a lot of saggy skin because I’ve been obese for over 15 years. I do recommend weight lifting while losing weight because it makes the skin hang better

Kelly Howland has overcome her struggles with binge eating and lost 90 pounds

Aug 29, 2020

Kelly Howland from Michigan is an Instagrammer who has been incredibly open about her past experience with domestic abuse and how that led to binge-eating disorder. On her journey to build a healthier lifestyle for herself, Howland has dropped both physical and metaphorical weight.

“For every pound I gained hiding my pain with food, I see it coming off as a sign of shedding abuse. I see the trauma melting off of me and as I become physically stronger, it’s just the reverberation of my SPIRIT getting stronger,” she said.

“The lighter my body, the louder my voice. I have reclaimed the ownership of myself. I have found my wild and I am now free. Never again will I allow myself to be bridled, cornered, or cut down.”

Nakeshia Thompson, from Austin, Texas, used to eat tons of fast food, comforted herself by eating, and admits she had “zero self-control.”

“Name any emotion and I could give a reason why food could help,” she wrote on Instagram. “I was obsessed. It was almost like the eating was out of my control.”

But by pushing herself to go to the gym, Thompson found new mental strength and control. “Embrace the struggles that the gym offers,” she said. “Absorb the idea that the outer edges of your comfort zone are where you now THRIVE.”

Pink

Pink does all kinds of impressive things onstage (like this high-flying acrobat situation), which means she needs to be in incredible shape to perform.

Her trainer, Jeanette Jenkins helped her reach optimal fitness with circuits that included: jogging, sprinting, pushups, and Pilates core moves.

But Pink revealed in a Instagram post that she doesn’t let the scale determine how she feels about herself—being strong is her goal.

Walk around my neighborhood for a few miles everyday

Walk around my neighborhood for a few miles everyday

Aug 29, 2020

F/20/5’10 [236lbs > 211lbs = 25 lbs] 2 months! I know it isn’t a huge difference right now but I’m so proud of myself! A lot longer to go but I’m on the right track :)

Exercise wise I will usually just walk around my neighborhood for a few miles everyday! Occasionally I do some sit ups, squats, etc. at home. Food wise, I have cut my calories A LOT and don’t eat nearly as much junk food as I used to. I used to be eating at least 3,000 calories a day and now I do around 1,350 calories, sometimes less. I’ve been eating a lot of protein and trying my best to cut out dairy. I track everything I eat and that really helps me see how much I really am eating. I also watch weight loss transformation videos on youtube all the time to keep me motivated! Thanks so much!!! :)

“Fight training vs. dancing,” he wrote on Instagram along with a side-by-side topless selfie of before and after.

“I’d been training in Muay Thai three days a week for about six months (for the next project I’m writing) when I hit pause to dance six hours a day. Now I can rhumba.”
